Borderlands shows us new experiences in gaming. Now you will get more chaos and insanity. Now Borderlands 4 will never stop giving you many surprises. The characters promise many unexpected valuable moments for new gamers and also everyone who has already become a Borderlands fan. This new lineup feels like it was designed not just for players but for storytellers, cosplayers, and anyone who ever wanted to live inside this wild universe. Each character comes with their flavor, their own rhythm of combat, and their own way of letting you dominate the battlefield.

Let’s break them down.

Amon—The Forgeknight (B-Tier)

Have you ever heard about a killing machine? Then imagining your body becoming the weapon? Let’s meet Amon. You can see that his back is lined with forge-drones, his arm can transform into a blazing Forgefist, and every swing feels like hammering destiny itself. Amon isn’t just a tank—he’s a walking taskmaster.

  • Onslaught charges his Forgefist until it’s glowing with energy, breaking shields and making him a frontline beast.
  • Scourge pulls out his Forgeshield—not just to block bullets, but to punish enemies with cryo or incendiary retaliation.
  • Crucible? That’s pure brutality—hurling Forgeaxes that freeze, ignite, and explode entire squads.

His skill trees, like Calamity, Vengeance, and Cybernetics, it can make him become brutal mix of resilience and savagery. If you want to feel strong and unstoppable, then you have to play Amon.

Harlowe—The Gravitar (A-Tier)

She is smart, but maybe more than that, she is a genius. Her brains meet chaos. Harlowe—that’s how you can call her. A Maliwan scientist who looked at combat not as survival, but as an experiment. She bends gravity, freezes enemies, and creates arenas where she controls the rules of engagement.

  • With Chroma Accelerator, she fires unstable energy that pierces through enemies before detonating in a radiant blast.
  • Zero-Point stops enemies in time, locking them in stasis before slamming them into the ground like ragdolls.
  • And with the Flux Generator, she creates an energy dome that freezes foes while shielding allies, tossing it around the field like a portable fortress.

Her Entanglement trait means hitting one enemy is never just about one target—damage ripples out, chaining devastation across entire squads. Harlowe is for players who want control, chaos, and spectacle all rolled into one.

Rafa—The Exo-Soldier (S-Tier)

Rafa grew up in zero gravity, out on the edge of space, and it shows. He moves with a kind of speed no other Vault Hunter can touch. Strap him into his exo-suit, and he doesn’t just run across the battlefield—he practically takes flight. His Arc-Knives let him zip in and out of combat, marking enemies so they’re easier to tear apart in a flurry of blades. Drop the Peacebreaker Cannons, and suddenly you’ve got auto-firing weapons covering the field, hammering enemies while Rafa keeps up the pressure. And when things need to end with a bang, he pulls out the APOPHIS Lance—a shoulder cannon that slams the ground with shock rounds, hitting like thunder straight from the sky.

With his Arc-Knives, Rafa dashes through the fight, marking enemies and setting them up to be torn apart in a whirlwind of blades. His Peacebreaker Cannons hit the ground and turn into relentless auto-guns, laying down fire so the pressure never lets up. And when it’s time to finish things in style, Rafa brings out the APOPHIS Lance—a shoulder cannon that blasts shock rounds down like thunder crashing from the sky.

Rafa’s Overdrive kicks in every time he unleashes an Action Skill, boosting his speed and damage until the fight becomes a dance of precision and chaos. If you’ve ever wanted to be the fastest gun in the galaxy, Rafa is your answer.

Vex – The Dark Siren (S-Tier)

Every Borderlands game has a Siren—but Vex is something darker. She doesn’t just wield power; she bends reality. Vex phasecasts living beings into existence, pulls power directly from her guns, and lets every fight feel like a twisted ritual.

  • Phase Phamiliar summons Trouble, her deadly companion, a creature that teleports, detonates, and evolves mid-battle.
  • Dead Ringer bends her form into a phantom double, confusing enemies and striking from unexpected angles.
  • Incarnate lets her channel raw elemental chaos, overwhelming anyone foolish enough to stand in her way.

Her Phase Covenant means that whatever element her gun uses—Shock, Corrosive, Cryo, or Fire—becomes her whole identity. Every bullet, every punch, every summoned being echoes that elemental wrath. Vex isn’t just a Siren. She’s the nightmare version, the one that doesn’t just defeat enemies… she rewrites them.

System Specs and Console Performance

Gearbox is making sure Borderlands 4 runs as smooth as a freshly oiled Jakobs revolver.

This is a recommended PC requirement:

  • You have to have a minimum of Intel i5-4690K, 8GB RAM, GTX 960
  • But we personally recommended the Intel i7-8700K, 16GB RAM, and RTX 2070.
Because we know that you will expect seamless 60 FPS on recommended builds, another thing that you have to be concerned about is that it will have full ray tracing support for those who want The Pandora to become reality as dangerous as it feels.

But, if you want to use the console, these may be the details that you should read.
On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, Borderlands 4 is optimized for 4K 60FPS, with buttery-smooth gunfights and fast load times. Cross-play is also confirmed, so no matter what platform you’re on, your squad is always just a party invite away.

Outro: Do not change your mind; BUY IT NOW!

Every character, or Vault Hunter, in Borderlands 4 isn’t just a class—they’re a bold statement. Let’s start. Amon is raw might. You know this professor Harlowe is intellect and control. We also have Rafa’s speed and precision. And then Vex is dark, twisted power. Together, they don’t just expand the Borderlands universe—they elevate it, giving players new ways to express themselves, to dominate, and to tell their own chaotic story.
