Approximately every 30 minutes, Butterfly searches for a fruit with 5+ mutations
Then, the 5 mutations in that fruit are removed and replaced with Rainbow
Rainbow provides a much larger multiplier compared to regular mutations
Butterfly will not choose fruits that have been favorited

If Butterfly is affected by the Glimmering mutation:

Butterfly has a chance to give the Glimmering mutation to nearby plants
Typically, about every 24 minutes there is a 20% chance to give Glimmering
Glimmering provides a multiplier of approximately x2 to x5, depending on the source used

So Butterfly Glimmering is good because, in addition to being able to create Rainbow, it can also help spread the Glimmering mutation to other plants.
