Upin & Ipin Universe is a joyful, seamless open-world experience that captures the wonder of growing up in a Southeast Asian village—where every bridge, trail, rooftop, and warung is crafted with authenticity by a team who lived it. In Malay, “kampung” means “village”—and here, it means freedom, curiosity, and heart.

This is a world made for kids—curious, playful, and free. In Upin & Ipin Universe, children are encouraged to explore on their own terms, discovering the kampung at their own pace. There are no instructions shouting what to do, no timers counting down. Just space to wander, wonder, and figure things out—like childhood used to be.

Choose your bait and location, then reel in local species. Some only appear at night or in the rain.

Critter Catching

Sneak through grass and shake trees to catch jungle insects. Use them to boost farming and fishing.

Prepare Malaysian dishes in a fast-paced rhythm minigame. Chop, fry, and serve to unlock new meals and story progress.

RC Car Racing

Drift through wild jungle courses. Compete in time trials and unlock new RC cars. Every day the race track changes shape. Then, take the Rc cars off the track and run them across them map!

Gasing Battles

Face off in spinning top arenas set up in gardens or even deep in the forest. Each top has stats, and every spin is a chance to win.

Exploring

Kak Ros

Your loving (and slightly fierce) big sister. She keeps you in check—and occasionally needs your help running errands or fixing something you broke.

Tok Dalang

The wise and mysterious village elder. He tells stories, hosts gasing battles, and just might know more about the jungle’s secrets than he lets on.

Mei Mei

Bright, creative, and full of energy. Mei Mei is often found in her garden or the kindergarten library, and she always has something interesting to do.

Ehsan

Your cheerful (and often hungry) classmate. Ehsan is full of ideas for games, snacks, and shortcuts around the kampung.

Jarjit Singh

The local poet and mischief-maker. Jarjit’s quests often involve rhymes, riddles, or unexpected surprises.

Mail

The savvy businessman of the group—always looking for a trade, a deal, or a delivery run. Mail’s side quests tie into fishing, farming, and market trading.

Abang Iz

The friendly big brother figure in the kampung. He’s always working on something cool—bikes, kites, or races—and often pulls you into his ideas.
